The Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S II has now been approved, and is set to be available on 12th April via Over The Air update and Samsung KIES. This is a provisional date which could change, but we'll let you know here if that's the case.
Thank you for your patience whilst we completed the testing process.

Unfortunately Samsung have told us this morning that they are unable to make the update available to you as planned.
The new plan from Samsung is that the update will be available via KIES tomorrow, 13th April, and via Over The Air update on Tuesday 17th April. If this moves at all, we’ll of course let you know.
I know a lot of you, like us, will be disappointed at this last minute change of plan and we continue to challenge Samsung to make this available to you as quickly as possible.

Here's a little update:
Samsung have temporarily stopped the update to ICS today, Friday 20th April, to perform analysis of the updates done so far to ensure the best quality experience for customers.
We know you are eager to get this update if you have not done so already and the plan from Samsung is to make this available again tomorrow Saturday 21st April.
The update may be temporarily stopped again if Samsung need to monitor the performance of the update system, or customers' experiences of it.
We’ll keep you posted on further developments as always, so if you haven't already, please subscribe to this thread to receive automatic email alerts when there's news.
