My blackberry curve 9300 over the past couple of weeks has been playing up. A couple of times making calls it goes very crackly and buzzy and I have to hang up and try again. Also the trackpad keeps sticking when trying to select messages etc. It hasnt been dropped or been near any water. Any ideas? Have had it for about two years now and am still a bit off getting an upgrade.

It could be one (or more) of a number of things - and could be hardware or software related. The crackly/fuzzy earpiece & the dropped calls do sound like hardware though.
A few things to try ...
1) Remove battery & SIM. Replace battery & allow to boot. In the meantime, check the SIM contacts are clean. Once booted, remove battery & replace SIM then battery.
2) Check available memory (Options > Device > Status > Free Memory). The 9300 was rather short on memory (& OS6 wasn't particularly good at recycling memory space). Anything less than one or two MB (1,000,000 & 2,000,000) can give weird issues like sticking trackpad.
You can increase free memory by deleting unnecessary/unused apps & unused parts of the OS (fonts & languages in particular take up a lot of space).
3) Check for OS updates - plug into a PC running Desktop Manager. An OS update or reinstall can often help.
If non of the above make any difference, it's probably a hardware fault which will mean asking Vodafone for a repair.
Best of luck.
