I've just setup up a Torch 9860. Used email setup to add 3 pop email addresses (gmail, hotmail, and a .me). When I enter the passwords and try and activate I get the message:
'Your device encountered a problem with this applications server Select OK and repeat the action and try again'
Needless to say I have tried again but to no avail
If I try to delete the email accounts I get the message
Have tried a security wipe but the email details remain. How do I delete them or get them to activate?

did you use the email setup on the fine or on the bb site ?
if it was the fone , do u have ur details for the bbsite?
if not u can get the admin guys on here to check the stuff for u - i think theyd need ur bbm pin tho

I setup the 3 emails on the phone. Post that I've tried to register on the BB site that you mentioned but it has to be done from your phone rather than a desktop and when I try it it tells you to use the email setup to do this.
I can't use this now due to the 3 'stuck' emails which sit there, so I'm in a bit of a loop unless I can somehow delete them

I am having a similar problem. My phone is setup to receive my university email which was a windows live mail account (@live.uwe.ac.uk). They have just transferred to Outloook Live and and the emails have stopped coming through to my phone even though the address an login information is the same. If I try and edit the account or delete it I receive the same messages as the OP. I want to remove the account and set it up again with the new server but the email settings application doesn't seem to work properly.
As a temporary fix, I have also tried to set up a mobileemail.vodafone.net account and simply have the emails forwarded there but it produces a message saying that my details are incorrect.
