BB 9900 wi-fi hotspot: charges?

I recently received an email from BlackBerry inviting me to upgrade the operating system of my Bold 9900 to the version that allows it to act as a wi-fi hotspot (I think it's 7.1) and have done so successfully. If I now use the Bold as a hotspot, will the data used in that way come out of my normal allowance or will I be charged for it as an extra, and if so at what rate? I'm one a OneNet Express tariff, unlimited use, I think £55 a month.

Hi markbishop,

Thanks for posting! As long as you're on a BlackBerry Tariff, any data used while tethering will simply be taken out of your price plan allocation or charged at the standard rate should you go over. Remember, date used while tethering to something like a laptop will use the allowance up much quicker than a mobile device so be sure to track your use via My Account or the My Vodafone app. :smileywink:

Cheers, Ben

Mark ... on your bill you should have a line that reads something like '500MB BIS with Wifi and Tethering'.

If you have the Tethering, you'll be alright for Hotspot (up to your allowance).
