Hello
I bought a Curve last week and went to register it with T-mobile to find out that it is registered on the Vodafone network still.
The phone was bought in the local car boot sale and I checked that it was not blacklisted which it was not but did not realise the BB pins were locked.
Can Vodafone help me please?
Thanks

unfortunately you would need to speak to the old account holder as they would need to de register the pin off the servers.

I think there are twoo issues here
1] Are you looking to use the BIS (Blackberry internet services). According to other threads the phone IME/PIN will be reallocated to the BIS once you put in a new SIM.
2] Is the phone simply locked. If it does not allow you make voice calls it is locked and needs unlocking by your local store or by buying a code on the internet.
- good luck .....

The phone is unlocked so works for Texts and calls.
The BIS does not work and that is what i need de-registered, I believed that putting in a new sim card was the thing to do!!!!

if you call up they may be able to de-register the account if the PIN is still registered to the server but if it's not in your name it may be an issue.

Hi And30280,
There is no need to de-register PIN numbers, as this is now automatic when a new SIM card is used.
What is likely to be the cause of the issue, instead, is that you do not have an active subscription to Blackberry services on your T-Mobile number. This will be immediately obvious, as your phone would be displaying lowercase letters in the top right corner (gsm, gprs, edge, 3g) instead of capital letters. This only happens if there is no Blackberry Internet Service enabled on the number, whether the PIN is registered already or not.
I trust this helps
