I have a White Blackberry Torch. The Blackberry Service keeps dropping from the device. The sign in the corner disappears. All Blackberry Services then stop. Sometimes these return on its own but normally I have to turn mobile connection off then back on. This normally works first time but sometimes, like today, I have to do it a few times. Also this does not happen on my daughters Bold on the same network & sometimes does on my wifes Black Torch but not as often. Any Ideas or help would be appreciated.

Let me firstly welcome you to the Vodafone eForum family. It's always good to have new faces around.

How strange

It could be a SIM / Device issue, but as it happens to more than one device, it's more likely to be related to the service.

It could be down to the availability of a 3G signal in the area, and this may be consistently connecting and disconnecting. If you can advise me of the postcode for the area, I can check coverage and also for any possible issues. You can also try this by selecting 2G only for a short while, and see if you still lose connection.

To do this, go to Options, then "Mobile Network", the last Option there says "3G & 2G".. Change it to "2G".

I think its a handset problem, mine does the same....constant 3G but BIS dropping in and out even when sat in the same position. I've locked mine to 2G now as that seems to sort the problem. Will be leaving Vodafone to go to 3 when iPhone 5 comes out.
