BBM Service is rubbish and seems like im being restricted or something!

Help before I have yet another problem with Vodafone Uk! For weeks now I have been experiencing problems with sending and receiving BBMs on my Bold 9780. My wife has the same problem. I write a bbm and send it but then it takes ages to send and once its actually sent it doesnt show as delivered, yet alone read! Eventually it will show D and R once read but like i said this has been going on for weeks. I contacted BlackBerry about it but they said its a provider problem so speak to you. It seems like my service is being restricted or its just very poor. Since having my Bold its been great but over the last 4 weeks its turned slow and unreliable. Please could you advise me on a solution? And please dont tell me to try rebooting my phone etc etc. I currently have the up to date OS for my 9780 and im using the latest BBM version. Thanks

Hi and thanks for the reply but to be honest its not a signal related issue as it happens no matter what signal i have, 3g, blackberry network showing or gprs etc. I can make and receive calls fine and have no loss of signal during calls and texts. Anymore advice?

Could you register the device using the Host Routing Table for me?

 

Options - Device - Advanced System Settings - Host Routing Table - BlackBerry Key - Register Now

 

If that fails then we need to check the provisioning on your account so I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here in this eventuality. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

Hi Lee, I did the Register steps like you said and received a message saying my handheld was registered with the wireless network. Do i still need to do the other process you mentioned? Thanks

Have you noticed a difference since registering using the Host Routing Table?
