BL3 BIS Outage

I know you had some issue in BL3 regarding performance, however on the fault board you said the issue is now resolve at 11 AM todayhowever my BIS is still not working which is the same situation as yesterday.

I have tried battery pull (20 times), disable the mobile network, manually selected another network and switch back to vodafone but to no avail. It just keep saying 'edge' without the blackberry logo next to the attena. I switch to 3G but still no blackberry logo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is affecting my work.

Thanks

Hi nramlagan.

If the phone is showing 3G (no BB logo) or edge/gprs (in lower case) it is connected to the Vodafone data network - but is not connecting to the RIM/BIS servers.

Although a battery pull should do these automatically, there are a couple of things to try - an HRT Register (Options > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table > Menu Button > Register Now) & a Service Book push (from Email Settings > Menu Button > Service Books > Send Service Books).

If these don't work, then it's either a residual fault in your area (mod's will advise soon, no doubt) or a provisioning problem (unlikely as you were alright a couple of days ago) ... unless you're on PAYG, in which case are you sure you have sufficient credit for BIS?

Best of luck.

Re: BL3 BIS Outage

Thanks Pau1j

I sent the registration from HRT but when I try to get to Email Settings it says "Your device had a problem connecting to the server"

I am on a pay monthly plan. I will wait for the moderator to reply

Sorry - my mistake ... as you're not connected to BIS, you will not be able to access the Email Settings Pages.

Re: BL3 BIS Outage

Hi nramlagan

Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome.:smileyhappy:

The first thing to do would be to update the host routing tables as advised by pau1j (Thank You), so I can check that this is atill active on your account please follow the Private Message I have sent to you and either myself or one of the team will be in touch as soon as we can.

Please can you advise the model of device you are using and the software version.

Many Thanks
