Over the last few days this has happened. i can still access facebook but cant send or reeive calls, texts, emails or BBM.

My direct debit payment missed so just paid this online for the outstanding amount and my account shows as clear so dont owe anything.

Tried to update the direct debit section on my online vodafone account but it wont let me at the moment.

GSM means that you have no data services at all on your handset/sim

This could be either a problem with your local cell, or with your account.

Very strange though that facebook is working, I would have thought that would have stopped unless you are on wifi somewhere.

Calls should be the only thing that work, again strange that you say they do not.

Have you been to any other locations that may use a different cell?

If not, hang around here and one of the tech team will be along to take a look at your account and see if everything is ok their end.

i received a text from vodaphone yesterday tell me to pay the outstanding amount or i would lose my services in 5 days. but my phone had all these problems before i received the message. the account is paid and up-to-date

Hi, I've been having the same problem and it started occuring yesterday where the only connection I could get was GSM. It changes depending on where I am in my house but the majority of time its GSM meaning I cannot do anything on my Blackberry e.g. BBM, internet.

My account has been paid on the date as usual, I have no understanding on how to fix this problem so I would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on how to fix this.

Hi hmadde1,

As the issue is intermittent depending where you are in the house it sounds like an issue with the connection between the BlackBerry server and your handset.

To resolve this you will need to try the following;

With the device switched on, remove the back cover and the battery, leave for 30 seconds, place the battery back in and place the back cover on the phone and switch it back on.

Once done select options – advanced options – host routing table – press the blackberry button – select register now.

Once done, try again and let us know how you get on.
