I made the mistake of getting a BlackBerry 9860. The battery life of this phone is poor. I have run out of battery five times in the pass two weeks.

As a device it leaves a lot to be desired as well.

When it comes to a battery life of any phone there is a number of things that can dramatically reduce the battery life of any handset however it is always recommended that you reduce the screen brightness, close all non essential apps by holding down the BlackBerry key, reduce the automatic updates for applications such as Facebook or Twitter.

When a handset is new you will often find that the more you charge the battery, the better it becomes as depending on the battery it sometimes may need conditioning which can take a few weeks to happen.
