I read many threads and posts on crackberry. Finally it's sorted for me.
Here is what i did.Hope this helps u guys!
1.First take off the battery and sim (without turning off the device!) for 15 minutes
2.Now put the battery and sim back in.
3.If it doesn't work,open blackberry browser
4. go to
5. Select country UK
6. Then under the communicate tab click on Email,Then Other personal email, then Integrate now
7.just go into Options, Advanced Options, then HRT (Host Routing Table), then click the menu key and click register.Register 3-4 times in a row.
8.Leave your phone on for 10 minutes and restart it

Unfortunately there is currently an issue with the BIS service and as such we will not be able to assist you with your query until this has been resolved by Blackberry (RIM).
You will notice that you won’t be able to use the internet at the moment however, once this is working again please let us know and we will be able to look at your BBM issue.
In the meantime I would recommend restarting your device to make sure everything is correctly registered.

This is my first post, not sure if I've done it right.
I've had a Blackberry Curve since June and BBM and Emails haven't worked at all. Service status says Blackberry enterprise server not connected and in diagnostic test is registered to BB but not connected.
Can you help?

So here is the story. I switched over from Tmobile to Vodafone as I heard you guys had better services and plans. Prior to that I was in Canada, so all cell phone plans look better in comparison. I went to PC Curry world and got a sim card as well as a $20 voucher for my Blackberry Bold 9700 so that I could get the 300mins, 3000 texts and 500mb data plan for my unlocked phone. The customer rep was extremely unhelpful, and did not even help me register or start up my phone. I had to figure out how to set up the VPN myself, and my number is still showing as Unknown in the call screen. My mobile connection through vodafone is working, but my BIS is down. When I tried to register it on the host routing table, it says that the message is sent, but there is nothing listed at all. The screen is completely blank except for the *No Entries* clearly labelled there. I have tried hard restarting with a battery and sim pull out as well as regular soft restarts with just a full turn off. My whatsapp and app world are working, but nothing else. My bundle is the latest one, and all my phone is completely updated. When I tried to call your 191 number, it does not work even though i have 300 minutes on my phone. It tells me I have no minutes even though I know I do as I just got those minutes 2 days ago. However, when I call one of my friends it works completely fine which shows I do have minutes. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and am considering going back to tmobile if you cannot rectify this mistake.

I am sure that we can help you with this issue. If you can reply back to the email that I have just sent and we can look into this.
This sounds very strange as if you have access to BlackBerry world that means that your internet connection is set up correctly and that BIS is in place, if either of these weren't then you wouldn't get access. This is the same with your minutes if you can call your friends you should be able to call 191.
I think that it is best to check that everything is set up correctly account wise, so I have just sent you an email, please reply back to that and we can check it out.

I am currently using a blackberry bold 9700 on monthly plan. I have also subcribe to BIS.
My bis is connected if i turn on my wifi however whenever i leave the house or not using the wifi, the service status for the bis always shows not connected even I have a 3G coverage show on my phone but without the blackberry 7 dot logo beside it.
I called vodafone so many times and they keep sending me this message to do the setting.
This are the things i need to do
1. pull the battery out while the phone is still switched on.
2. to search manually for network, you'll select a different network other than vodafone, when u get the erroe message just select vodafone back.
3. to send the registration message on host routing table.
Unfortunately, after doing all this setting, my bis is still not working. I hope there is somebody who can slove this problem for me.
I think there may be a provision of some kind on my BIS??

Thanks for your post here and I’m sorry that you are having issues with your Blackberry services.
When looking at this type of issue the first thing to do would be;
Select Options – Device – Advanced options – Host Routing Table – Press the Blackberry button and select Register Now.
Once you have done this please reboot the phone and let me know how you get on.

I have been having problems with my BIS too. I am definately subscribed as my payment was only taken off last week. All day it has been saying GSM or edge but has swapped to GPRS for a few minutes and then back to GSM. I have already tried the solutions you have said and nothing has worked.

Sorry to hear you’re having these problems. I appreciate how frustrating it must be for you.
Does this happen in one area or all over the place?
If it’s one area can you tell me the full postcode?
How long has this been going on for?
Also, I’ll send you a private message so that we can look at this in greater detail for you.

If you have a spare minute could you please take the time to fill out a short feedback form about me?

hi, topped-up £10 2day, opted in to the BIS and got message to confirm but im still unable to connect to internet, BBM email ect, tried using vodafone troubleshooter and ended up with a message saying to contact vodafone, can anyone help me please
21-02-2012 09:55 PM
i have had the exact same poblem and i opted back into bis at 1pm :/
i called customer services as well and they just advised me to try "register now" - you go from options to advanced options to host routing table then click the bb butten to get register now.
Then tried changing the network from vodafone to another network back vodafone.. go onto options then mobile network change your network selection mode from automatic to manual. then change your mobile network to any other service, you should only then get emergency calls. then change it back by changing the network selection mode back to automatic, that should take you back to vodafone. Then she told be to take out the battery to restart it.. however, still after all of this my bis wasn't working, she then said wait 24 hours since opting in and then call back ( annoying ) .. hope this helps you, but if it doesnt it might be a problem with bb because it would be the exact same thing as mine!

Well funny that Voda. Customer Services tried to fob me off with 'it's a Blackberry problem', personally I'm getting a bit (very) peed off with incompetents blaming their problems on BB. Anyone seen any news of Blackberry services going down?
Get your b****y act together.
