dear vodafone.
having spoken with one of your customer service people earlier today, to be told that "the issue is fixed and is being rolled out across the users, but no idea when yours will be fixed, you'll have to wait" i am getting increasingly annoyed.
The lack of information and timeline is just not acceptable.
and i just received a text saying "You may still be experiencing issues with Blackberry services. RIM is working to resolve this issue urgently. Please visit Vodafone.co.uk for updates." this is not giving anything away. We need to know more.
Blackberrys are used for business primarily, and for those people who are on the road they are a most important tool, and the cost to business in customer service damage cannot be counted.
I would like to know what the plan is for compensation for lost contractual obligations for data provision at the very minimum.

Hi im a Blackberry user and have been not for some time, but im more upset that i pay Vodafone £30 for my contract i get Unlimited Text and 1Gb internet sounds good then i pay for Blackberry services on top. With this in mind i pay Vodafone £30 i would like you to tell me why i cannot access the internet nor can i send emails from my phone after all this should be delt with by you as a company.
Now when the Blackberry RIM network came back online yesterday all the services came back to my phone Apps emails internet but for the Second day and yes it’s been a long day with no emails that im sure are important to me. Where do i go from here im angered that we have to come here and moan about 21st century products.
Could i just not drop into a Vodafone shop and change my phone. just so i get all services back that i need after all this is been spoken about the net that Rim will not have the services running at 100% for at least 10-15 days. Not good

I too am very displeased with the service I am currently receiving. I've only just replaced my previous Blackberry with the new 9900 and up until yesterday was very pleased with it. Now I feel I'm getting only a partial service for my monthly payment and feel that all Blackberry users should be offered some compensation for the lack of service, once normal service has resumed and proved to be substantial, not a mere temporary fix.

I agree with the majority of people here that I feel we need some sort of compensation from our bills this month as I don't pay about £40 a month to not be able to use my phone to its full ability. I havn't been able to use BBM, the internet, any apps or send/receive emails for the past 2 days and it is absolutely ridiculous!! We were told the problem had been sorted last night only to find everything down again today, for companies as huge as Blackberry/Vodafone you'd think this problem would have been sorted straight away! Can't help but think Apple would have had a problem with the iphone sorted asap.
Some deduction to monthly bills has to be taken this month.

Totally agree with everyone else's comments. im a heavy blackberry user, also with a playbook....at the moment i am also suffering with heavy delays with text messages as well...i think the amount of information and updates being given is appalling! i pay good money for my services and expect to be kept in the loop with anything that effects them.
I hope vodafone understand that if you dont keep people informed it makes the situation worse! as far as my bill goes i would expect a reduction for services not provided and some level of compension.

Thankfully everyone on here seems to have the same opinion about Vodafone being very slow at giving information and being very inconsistent with any information they are providing.
Where I live (County Durham) we have had a mast down since 6th August following a thunderstorm which has meant limited service for over 2 months (no mobile internet, no MMS, limited email and poor signal - if any at all) and now with these added BB problems my phone is pretty much useless.
I got a text message off Vodafone yesterday to say that the BB issues where being worked on and to check the (vodafone) website for information.....
COME ON VODAFONE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER - YOU'RE QUICK ENOUGH TO PUT YOUR PRICES UP AND HAVE PEOPLE COLD CALLING TO TRY AND SELL ADDITIONAL SERVICES SO HOW ABOUT YOU PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS AND GET THINGS SORTED!
My contract is up for renewal shortly - thankfully!!

What a joke!
I just had a txt message to say that £5.00 would be deducted tomorrow for my Blackberry Services - it seems that their billing services are working absolutely fine but just not the service itself!
I not only rely on my BB for work but also my children are all BB users so it is extremely annoying and inconvenient for it to be down - it really does beg the question "Iphone?"
The most annoying thing though is the complete lack of information - I now await the excuses.........

Given the press interest and the number of stories out there, and the growing reputation for RIM not telling people what is happening, why are there loads of posters on here slating Vodafone? We know it is down to RIM.
Their Blackberry UK Twitter feed was last updated 11 hours ago with "Message delays were caused by a core switch failure in RIM's infrastructure. Now being resolved. Sorry for inconvenience. " Pretty hopeless in this day and age, but if Vodafone are getting the same info as we are (ie not much) a few people round here need to wind their necks in and go slate RIM instead.
As a Blackberry user, yes the loss of BBM is a nuisance as it is a channel I use to keep in touch with my children. But it is not insurmountable because I have a life, and there are other ways of getting hold of people!

So blackberry services still arent working 3days now.
But here's the weird part.
My applications can access the net via 3G to tell me they need updating and Tunein radio app can stream internet via 3G/GPRS but I can't use the web myself or bbm? Why is this. Why can my apps use my phone to get on the net but I cant physically click the web and google stuff, use msn or bbm?

According to BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-15270955 this issue has been resolved, but I still have no email, internet or BBM services, even after 2 battery pulls.
Please someone at Vodafone give us an update as this has been going on for 3 days and I have only received 1 text which was pretty useless to be honest.
You are becoming as bad as RIM!!!! This is not good customer care.
