BlackBerry Storm 2 - I Can't Use The Facebook App Anymore?

I sent my phone away for repair recently, the screen freezing problem, when I got my phone back It had a new software update: v5.0.0.497. I downloaded the latest facebook app (1.8.0.49) and now facebook has decided that it wont work. Everytime I open the app it says:
"We cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100)"
Also, My phone fails to connect with the Application Center 'An error occured while updating the application list: Failed to connect to server.'
I have a data plan, and I am connected to wifi.
Can anyone help?

Not with facebook but if you're still running 497, it was full of bugs and caused problems for most users on here. You might want to update to a more recent version of the software. The latest is 973, perhaps your facebook app will run ok on that?

you are currently on the latest official Vodafone Firmware for your device, so we can see where the issue lies can you confirm if you have GPRS displayed or gprs displayed on your phone?
Are you able to connect to the internet without using WIFI?

I've posted another post about my emails too, I cant connect to the server. No emails, no facebook, but the internet is working,

What does it say under Blackberry Internet Services?
(Manage Connections-->Services Status)

Sounds like it could be a service book issue to me. Setup -> email settings -> log in and press the blackberry key and select 'service books'. They'll be resent. If that doesn't work it probably is a provisioning issue as RobinM says.

Thats the thing, I can't get into the email settings, I click on email settings and the message comes up 'cannot connect to the server'
This phone is so annoying!

The first thing I'd recommend you do is to update to the latest firmware version, this can be downloaded from here, it's the one at the bottom of the screen that you need.
If that doesn't make any difference then there could be an issue with your BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) provisioning. Just reply to the email I've sent you and we'll be in touch as soon as we can to check this for you
