hi mods, just wondered if anyone knows when the 8520 is coming? its in the business mag as august, but the coming soon section (retail not business, confusing!!) isnt saying a date, just coming soon, just wondered if anyone could shed some light, as i know i`l be first in line come release day

also the firmware is already available for download from the software update links!!!!

ok so iv been busy on the web, and have found the simulators for the themes! i feel another website coming on!! please please please say it`ll be out within a week or 2, i mean i love my storm, but variety is the spice of life isnt it!

There's nothing like a new toy to keep you in anticipation of news!

I've checked our stock report and the 8520 is hiding from me for now so no news on a release date yet but I have seen emails saying coming soon for the end of the month so watch this space (I'm stalking this page for the Satio so you're not the only one wringing their hands for a new phone! )

It's the same size are the 8900 and a less spec. The Tour is the one to get, it's a step up from the 8900 in spec, but the similar size. Not as big as the Bold.

while i see what your trying to say i dont think its of any lesser spec other than the screen, i mean wifi, gps, 2G, 2.0Mp camera are all the same between the 2 handsets, (and i already have a curve 8900 but really want the touchpad bit) as for the tour yes its nice, but dont think it has wifi, also its not a gsm phone so useless in the uk, however rumors are abound that the 9700 will be the gsm equivalent of the tour

anyways mods, back to part of the original post, how comes the 8520 is in the business magazine but only showing in the retail `coming soon` section? just i was keeping an eye in the business coming soon section (which its not showing in) and almost didnt notice it in retail!!

the 8520 is now showing in the business pages as coming soon

now i dont wanna seem like nit pickin, but surely someone got the specs wrong on there??

surely it has vibrate??
surely it has colour screen??
surely it has calendar/diary??


as i say, jus me keepin ya on ya toes (or ya web people at least)

Hahaha,

It appears our Online teams have made a 'little' mistake there. I think its entirely possible for a BlackBerry to not have a Calendar or Diary

I'll get this fed back so that it can be changed. Cheers for pointing it out to us

hi mods just me (again) just another one iv noticed, in the retail section for the 8520, in the specifications, theres a cross next to `dedicated music keys` in the entertainment section, yet they are there on the top of the phone

should i change me signature to `lifes in the details` haha
