 Not impressed!! Have just got 2 blackberry 8900 curve handsets as upgrades for me and hubby! We are loyal vodafone customers and have had phone and internet for years!!!
We are unable to watch videos (ie. you tube, itv player etc) on them. We weren't told but apparently there isn't a 3G connection with these handsets.
Does anybody know if there anything we can do or buy to solve this?? Or maybe i just need to kick up a fuss so vodafone start actually appreciateing our custom!!

Sadly, youve chosen a non 3G handset. Not a lot you can do about it, unless you are in the first week of your contract and then you can replace the phone, else, sadly, youre stuck with it... you could always sell it on ebay and use the money to buy an unlocked Bold or Storm (the only 3G model blackberries, with the money.

Hi shalene.paul,
Welcome to the eForum! You're absolutely right I'm afraid the Curve 8900 is a 2G phone which would prevent you from using services such as Mobile TV and some higher bandwidth websites. You can still surf the Net with the curve on the 2G connection and you do get WiFi connectivity which means you can use your high-speed home broadband connection and the many HotSpots around the UK - believe me there are many of these now.
If you had the phone direct from us and you're still in your 7 days of receiving the phone we will be more than happy to arrange an exchange. Alternatively if you bought the phone from a reseller such as Carphone Warehouse I'd recommend having a chat with them. If you have any further queries feel free to drop me a post and I'll do all I can to help.
Many Thanks,
Adam
