Hi All,

Can you confirm that the Software update to 7.1 is ok and no problems with updating for Bold 9900 & 9790?

There have been a few mentions of problems when upgrading OTA (allowing the BB to download & install the upgrade itself).

The best way imho is to use a PC & Desktop Manager to install the new OS. This way you know you have all backups completed before the installation begins.

After you've installed the new OS, do a few battery pulls over the next day or so. With at least one of them take the SIM card out then replace the battery & allow to boot (without SIM) - pull battery & replace SIM & battery. I can't say why, but it seems to help the phone clear out any remnants or bad files.

From my point of view OS7.1 (BB9900) is a big improvement on, particularly, 7.0.0.585 (battery life if nothing else).
