Hi,

I had this working the other day and on 'location setttings' it had my gps point with longitude/latitude and all that malarky, and I was able to check in using facebook places. I turned my bluetooth off an then when I went back into location settings the GPS part had dissapeared and GPS data source now says 'None' and Location Services so says 'Location Off' and you CANNOT change these 2 options

Whats going on? It was working the other day?

I do realise that the 8520 has no GPS as such but this was working the other day and I managed to 'Check In' on facebook places. This works on my friends phone and he also has an 8520

It is very weird that it won't find your location if it was working a few days ago, have you changed your software or anything else on the phone?

Firstly try rebooting the phone, you'd be amazed at how many bugs this can fix. If that doesn't work can you try a different connection type e.g. wifi, 3G.

Did you ever resolve the problem as I have the same thing. At 'location settings' it just sayes 'location off'
