I have had my phone for nearly 2 years and just over the last few days the phone has started overheating and completely draining of battery. This happens when my phone is on idle in my bag or on the sofa. I am due an upgrade in December/January but I am totally annoyed that this has started happening now!!!

I cannot afford a new phone and can't believe this has happened so near to my phone being replaced!

Any ideas?

The problem might be the battery itself rather than the phone. I would try buying a new battery from Ebay or an internet source as they are quite cheap and worth invesing in to see if that cures the problem.

There are lots of batteries on ebay for around £13

I can see that jeffkinn has given a good answer here however; you can also send the phone away for repair under the warranty free of charge.

I would give this a go and let us know how you get on.
