Blackberry Internet service

I have a bb 8900 and I opted into the blackberry Internet service thinking that I get to use the browser, with out it costing me, I checked to see if it worked by using google a couple of times, then I checked my balance and £2 had gone. Is this a fault or do not get the Internet browser free?

Re: Blackberry Internet service

Hi dizman_1996,

The BlackBerry Internet service you have opted into allows you to access the main features of the BlackBerry device (E-Mail, BBM etc).  Internet browsing is (as far as i can remember) routed through a different access point on the network.  As it has used £2 credit, it appears that you are on Pay As You Go, and the best way to avoid the charges for general browsing on Pay As You Go would be to either opt into the Text and Web Freebee, or use WiFi if you have it available.

Hope this helps

Re: Blackberry Internet service

Hi dizman_1996,

To be honest as you are a PAYT customer the best option for you would be to register your account for the text and web freebee when you top up, this way you can top up each month and get your BIS service but also in doing this it will give you free texts and data allowance to use for that month.

And you will keep your remaining credit after BIS is deducted for your calls.

Let me know what you think and if you have any comments regarding my service today, please complete our survey.
