Blackberry Messenger not working after top up.

Hello!
I was hoping if you could help me out here? I havehad Blackberry internet service for a month and i am on pay as you go, when my months worth of internet was coming to an end and i had to pay another pound i forgot to top up so it could take it off that amount. after it told me i had ran out of internet service my dad topped it up again and paid for internet service again, but it seems to have not taken the money off my credit? also my blackberry messenger is not working?does it take time to reactivate? at the moment it had been a day since i topped up and i still cant use bbm even though i can get on to my facebook? what do i do to get it working again?
