I recently purchased a Blackberry Torch but I am having trouble receiving emails from my Hotmail account. I have done the setup through the phone and everything is in place.

Every so often the odd email will filter through.

On the first day they came through slightly faster but now not at all.

My old number is due to port over on Thursday 18th Nov so will that effect my device receiving emails over the net?

Thanks for your post here. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

I'm afraid Hotmail accounts are very temprimental due to the way in which Hotmail functions. Have you tried removing and re-adding your account?

Short of this I would suggest signing up for a Gmail account and adding this to your BlackBerry. Then, once you have done this, have the Gmail account poll your Hotmail account. This seems to work a little better (I use it this way)

Hi sorted now. The porting was holding things up as I could not use all of the services. After 4pm today it was all coming through. Thanks for your help.
