Blackberry cure 8250 help gprs next to signal bar?

Hiya guys probally just me.....
ok i brought two blackberrys today from vodaphone shop for pressies
two questoins they are 8250 CURVE
One has Edge next to signal bar
and the otherone gprs also the one that has gprs has bigger lettering on the buttons... are there two different models?? and what does edge n gprs mean? the one that says gprs is alot slower then the one that says edge........
second question is do they come with memory card because one had a 2gb memory card in and the other didnt so am woundering if ive been given a returned unit.........

Hi,
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is the connection to the network you're making, in particular when you're using things like internet and data. GPRS is an earlier form of coverage which was eventually suceeded by a faster speeds known as 3G. EDGE falls somewhere in between so chances are it'll be a little faster than the GPRS (The difference between EDGE and 3G)
