Can't call text or use the internet.

When i try and call someone i get the message "connection to this number is restricted on this phone. Please contact your customer care agent" and when i try and send a text i get the message "requested facility not subscribed". I also cannot access the internet. I've tried e-maiing customer care and no one's got back to me. I'm a new voadfone customer and I will never take another contract with them as all i've had are problems. Help please.

It sounds like there may be a bar on your account. In order to look into this I've just sent you an email, if you reply with all the details, then we'll be in touch as soon as we can. Alternatively, if you're in a hurry then I'd recommend calling customer services on 191 from a Vodafone mobile or 08700 700 191 from any other line.

Can you help me please I'm on vodafone contract and I can't make calls or texts or access the internet on my phone. Every time I try to phone someone it tells me that the connection to this number is restricted on this phone. Also can't get my blackberry messenger to work, I can't send or receive requests.

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.
So that we can get to the bottom of this I just need to ask you a few questions.
Is your bill payment up to date?
What happens if you put your SIM into another handset?
Is signal showing on your handset?
2G or 3G?
How long has this been happening for?
Please can you try the following :
Scroll to All, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll down to Options, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to Networks and Connections, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to Mobile Network, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to the Network Selection Mode: dropdown box, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to Manual, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to the required network, then press the Trackpad key
Scroll to OK, then press the Trackpad key.
You’ll need to first try and select a network that isn’t Vodafone, then repeat the process and select Vodafone.
Please let me know how you get on and the answers to all the questions and we’ll be more than happy to help you further with this.

Hi,
I'm having the exact same problem. I thought it was because i hadn't paid my bill but once i did i still was getting the same problems.
I have emailed customer suppor but no reply so hopefully I'll get one from here.

I have taken a look at our email system for you and can see that our email support teams have replied to you on 31/07/2011.
Can I ask if you have received this yet?
Also are you still having the same issues?
If you are and have not received the email, please let me know and I will get another one sent to you so we can check your account however, if you have the email, simply reply to it with the additional security details we will be able to look into this further for you.

Same issue here.. can send the odd text after a full restart, but i've got a load waiting to go..
Can call and use t'internet fine :-)

Arrrrgh... this is now driving me insane and I've just called Vodafone customer service, from my mobile, and was told after 10 mins of chatting to the guy and him doing some (very slow) troubleshooting that I'd have to call back on a landline as apparently I KNEW I was going to have to do some checks on my phone..
I don't have a landline to call back on so can someone please help me on here..
Thank god you guys are around as the customer service on 191 leaves a lot to be desired...

Hi Trev,
I managed to fix it.. got fed up of being cut off from the outside world so just did a backup/wipe on the phone and all is fixed..
Hated not being able to text !!! ![]()

I have the same problem and there is no way I can solve it as I can't go through 191 either. It says as well that my ohone is restricted on this number please contact a customer care agent.

what is a backup/wipe i would like to try this i also cant call text or use internet.
