Do you previously have a BB?
If not, when you upgraded have you activated BIS (Blackberry Internet Service)?
(I think MMS might use the same channels as BB data - not sure though)
A couple of things to try ... first is a battery pull (as it usually is!). This should reset a whole host of things in terms of the phone's connection with the network.
If it still doesn't work, try Register via Host Routing Table (in Advanced Menu Options) & Service Book repush (via Email Setup Menu). Actually a battery pull usually achieves these two automatically, but no harm done.
Also, check the MMS settings (Options from Text Message application) to make sure nothing looks untoward.
