Hi tallulahtulip,

I can see that you've received an answer from Broadsword. If you feel that his reply answers your query, don't forget to award him kudos and consider marking his post as the solution. You'll be able to find out how to do this here

Thanks

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

You need to log into your online account to activate, just click on your profile and click on BT Openzone to activate.  You will then receive an email as confirmation that it is activated.

You can then log in on your phone using your account user name and password.

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

Hi tallulahtulip,

Don't worry, I think I can see what is missing!

The main step is activating the Wi-Fi allowance. Once you've registered for My Account, you need to go to www.vodafone.co.uk/wifi, select "business user", click "activate your Wi-Fi"  and log in with the same username and password.

Once you've done that, then you'll be able to access the allowance following the steps broadsword listed.

If you're still having issues, let us know and we'll take a look at the account to see what's going on.

Dave

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

I have tried the things suggested on this post however although my "My Vodafone" welcome page says that I have 1Gb of BTOpenzone included (along with 100mins 500Texts and 250Mb Data) there is nowhere, I mean NOWHERE on the site where I can register for BTOpenzone...

Plus my Android My Vodafone App tells me that I don't have BTOpenzone included or maybe this is just because I'm not (read can't) registered

Any help much appreciated

Martin

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

Yes, there is something very wrong now in the connection.  I used to be redirected to a BTOpenzone window from where I was able to tick Vodafone in an opening window.  Then I was able to login using my Vodafone mobile number and password.  But now I am redirected to a BTFon window.  This is a BUG that should be corrected ASAP.

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

I spoke to a very competent support person in Egypt and was told that things had changed with regards logging into BTOpenzone (pity they didn't tell any of their customers...!?)

Apparently now all you need to do is log in with your Vodafone account login/password at the BTFon/BTOpenzone web login page and you should be connected to use your WiFi allowance.

To be honest I don't know how successful this is as I have only tried (without success I might add) trying to get access to my own hubs BTFon and BTOpenzone-H networks... maybe you're not able to connect using your own networks?? I do also supposedly have BTFon/BTOpenzone access via my BT Broadband service which I have also been unsuccessful in connecting to using those credentials.

I will try this when I am out and about and feedback...

Re: Connecting to BTOpenzone

Thanks for this.  I just tried both networks (BTFon and BTOpenzone) login with my Vodafone login and password but none of them worked.  Whether I choose to connect to BTOpenzone or BTFon, I was still redirected towards the same "Welcome to this BTFon Hotspot" window where you can choose between BTFon, BTOpenzone or BT Total broadband.
