some clarification with the following data charges please:

( £3 per MB up to 5MB, then £15 for every 5MB after that )

receive/reply to a few emails.

Will the allowance reset every day or will my usage carry over for the 4 days of my trip (which may well be less than 1 or 2 MB?

If it resets daily then I assume that with light use my bill will just be an extra £12 (£3 x 4 days).

i don't know if it resets though - was just a guess.

our hotel has free wifi - but when I turn it on how do I know the data is coming in via that? does it do it automatically or do I have to turn off my mobile network coverage??

Hi Jaytheduke

you can turn data off while roaming (let me know your handset and i will tell you how) and you can also turn off data services which should ensure the device only uses wifi.

1. On the Home screen, click the connections area at the top of the screen, or click the Manage Connectionsicon.
2. Click Mobile Network Options.
3. Do one of the following:
   • To turn on or turn off data service, change the Data Services field.
   • To turn on or turn off data service when roaming, change the While Roaming field.
