Deregister Blackberry Pin

apparently there is no need now since the last BIS update. Simply inserting a new SIM into the phone will cause it to deregister from your account.

Re: Deregister Blackberry Pin

Hello,

I bought a old blackberry pearl 8120 ( second hand) from a seller , but when I try to setup email account it dose not allow me to do so. My friends says I need to deregister PIN to recreate a account under my contract.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thank you in advance

Re: Deregister Blackberry Pin

Hi surfsumi

Firstly let me welcome you to the eForum family. New faces are always welcome here. :smileyhappy:

Your friend is correct, if a Blackberry is already registered, you cannot register the device to use your Blackberry services. On an exchange of device it does this automatically, deregistering the old and registering the new. In your case, where the device has been sold on, the original owner should of deregistered the device before selling it on.

I may be able to assist with this , but would need to access your account details to do this. To facilitate this, I am arranging to send you an email, and if you can kindly complete and return this, we should be  able to assist further with this query.

Regards

Re: Deregister Blackberry Pin

Hello,

I have recently bought a Blackberry Torch off Ebay and need to deregister it before I can set up my Blackberry internet and email. It is originally a Vodafone handset. I have asked the original seller to do this but to no avail yet. Can you help? Thanks
