Thanks

I could find this though: what you can do with a GB; Download up to 50 maps with Google maps, open and reply up to 20,000 emails and make up to 20,000 bids on eBay, read around 16500 BBC stories

Hi Saddiq
BlackBerry messenger does use data as does MSN. All instant messenger services only use small amounts of data, I have seen many times the messages use 1kb of data.

Im new to blackberry and have been using bbm, only use it for 1 contact and the only time i use the web is for internet banking and to check e.mails.
I have 500mb what are the chances of me going over that every month??
Hi!
Using BBM u can send about 5000 msg (text only) using only about 1 MB, because there is only text.
From my view 500 MB are very lot of data for Berry, ofcorse if you don`t use BB as an IP modem and don`t get huge amount of e-mails with big attachments and every attachment you are opening.

I am pretty certain that BB10 devices do not need the BIS plan provisioning on the handset, as the way that they work has changed.
BBM will use your normal data plan. How much it will use however is down to usage... if just sending plain text BBM you will not dent your allowance (although other data apps on the phone may do)
