Editing Contact Fields

I've got a BB Curve 8900, and have a question. Is it possible to edit the names of the Fields for Contacts? For example, I have a contact who has 2 home numbers - one in the UK, and one in Spain, and they also have a UK mobile. I have all three numbers saved, using the "Work" number and address for the Spain details. It would be nice to be able to edit the name of the "Work" field, to make it easier to identify/select from the menu. Does anyone know if this is possible? As far as I can see the only editing you can do is of the data itself, i.e. the number.
I only ask, as I was able to do it on a Nokia I used to have, and wondered if I could do it on the BB.

Thanks in Advance!

Editing Contact Fields

Hi Stu,

You can't edit the name of the number fields for mobile/home/fax etc.

But, as an alternative, you can edit the 'user' fields to any name you like. You can find these at the bottom of the page, just hit your menu button and select 'change field name'.

Be aware though, this changes the field name for every contact not just the one your editing.

Hope this helps.

G!

Editing Contact Fields

Hi G,

Thanks for the reply. That pretty much confirms what I thought. I'll just have to keep using Home2 or Work to store these details.

Useful to know about the User fields - I hadn't spotted those.
