Facebook App on Blackberry 8100

Hi Vodafone eForum,

I have installed the Facebook Blackberry app on my phone but when I try to use it, it fails saying

"You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application" but I am on the PAYG Freebees 300 texts and 500MB of web access. Why wont this work?

This error message has been doing the rounds on the internet for a year or so now (see thread here for some troubleshooting)

 

A few things people have suggested before contacting customer services and reviewing your plan:

 

- deleting and reinstalling the application

- seeing if it's possible to make a regular web connection via the browser

- making sure GPRS / 3G is displaying on the phone rather than lower case gprs / 3g
