Is there anyway that I can get the BBC Iplayer on my Torch???????????

only when the bbc get with the program and add the torch as a supported device.

The BBC have updated the site and the torch is supported now. Seems to be a lower bitrate than the iphone streams though

lol beaten to the update by a matter of hours agree that the bitrate doesnt look as good, but its a start and hopefully it will improve!

they appear to have preset for EDGE bitrates rather than it being adaptive or ask you what bitrate you want to use.

OK, so BBC iPlayer is now supporting torch, so why when I try to watch a programme in a 3G coverage area does my iPlayer screen tell me to switch to a wifi connection??

basically becuase watching a show or two on the iplayer will chew up almost all of your monthly data allowance so youre forced to use WiFi for all streaming.

I find it works on 3G if I use the WAP browser (vodafone Live).  I am using the 9700 so may be different on the torch.

yeah, torch version is different, probably at the behest of the carriers. We also dont have a WP browser now.
