Hi Ihave had real problems trying to configure my yahoo acount to outlook on my home pc. In desperation I sought help from their on line chat support. To cut a very long story short I seem to have lost my email on my blackberry, which was running fine before I asked for help. If I go to Email setup my my blackberry it is asking fora log on with user name and password. I have tried everything but I cannot get any further.

Welcome to the Vodafone eForum from all of the team.
To be honest the username and password that it is asking for will be your yahoo email account username and password.
Do you know if they reset your email account details?
The first thing to do would be to try and log into your email account on a PC to make sure that the details that you are entering are correct and if you are unable to login there, you will need to reset the password using the forgot details link.
Once you have these details either via a reset or a reminder, you may need to reset them on your outlook account and then enter these on your blackberry email setup.
I would give this a go first and let us know how you get on.

The response is useless.You have misread the original message.
I have exactly the same problem.
I tried to acess my Email settings on my 9800 and am asked for a username and password.
I nevr had to do this before, so I do not have a username and password to access my Email settings.
If i enter a guessed username and ask for my passwordi I get a message that there is a problem with the application's server.
This suggests it is a Blackberry server probllem.
HELP!
