What’s the deal with the My Vodafone Application from Blackberry app world? The application simply doesn’t work. I have read through a lot of people saying it doesn’t work. I have followed the reply to the posts to the version that is supposed to work and it doesn’t work for me. Version 1.3. I have installed and uninstalled it so many times and give up. It just states all the time over the past few months of trying "Unexpected Error" "We can’t return your account information right now, please try again shortly. And again and again?
Everything else works on my Blackberry Curve 8520 and I can login in to my Vodafone account online fine and have never had any problems logging in to the web site. But this Application just won’t work. I've just followed the link suggested and installed it again just to get the same issue. I am on pay as you go customer and could really do with this application working. Please help.

Apologies that you are having these issues.
The application does work, and the posts here are just a small sample of the overall number of users. We're happy to investigate cases where customers experience issues to get to the bottom of these.
The questions posted elsewhere are designed to help us test possible causes and gather information as needed, so thank you for providing answers to many of these already in your post.
Can you confirm the BlackBerry OS version you are running for me? If there is an update available, can you try installing this and testing if this resolves the issue? The app will have been designed to work with the latest OS version.
Also, since the original failure, have you turned off or hard reset the handset? This would act like clearing an internet cache in that it would ensure that the original failure was not blocking further attempts.
To try a hard reset:
- Switch the handset on
- Whilst powered up, remove the SIM card and battery
- Put the battery back in and switch on
- Wait a couple of minutes, then remove the battery again
- Replace the SIM and battery and switch back on
I'm sure we can get to the bottom of things for you.

Tried everything you suggested but unfortunately it made no difference. My blackberry is up to date as I plug it into the desktop software regularly to check for updates. The version I am currently running is v22.214.171.1246 and (platform 126.96.36.199). Checked to see if there were any updates available but I was already up to date.
Well I tried the hard reboot and it made no difference at all except it also stopped everything else from working properly. My blackberry ID on the App World site won’t work now either.

It’s possible that you have now locked yourself out of you account. I’ll send you a private message over to you that explains exactly how to get in touch with us. We’ll sort this. It may be worth performing a master reset if things still don’t work. Don’t forget to back everything up before hand though if we do have to cross that bridge.
