No Blackberry Curve 3G Signal

I have recently purchased a Blackberry Curve on pay as you go and registered it with the blackberry data plan. However I am never getting a 3G signal, only a GPRS signal, although my fiance gets a 3G signal on her Blackberry Torch in the same locations that I am not a 3G signal. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your post here.

 

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is a 2G only handset so this would be why you are unable to pick up 3G signal.
