Hi, for the past few days my blackberry messages have been taking a really long time to send. I'm not able to send/receive any bbm's unless connected to wifi. Even when I am connected it sometimes stops working. However, it seems as if this is only happening when I'm at home, as when I'm out it works whilst not connected to wifi. So it may be an area problem. I live in the postal code area "HA0", do you know of any network problems that are currently happening around here? 

I have already tried taking the battery and sim out and all those other things, it seems to just be a network problem. I'm still able to send and receieve text messages and phone calls, it just seems to be blackberry messenger also I'm havingf the same problem with the internet. I can't search anything whilst I'm home unless connected to wifi.

And ideas on how to solve this? Thanks.

I think BB messaging may have gone down; at least I have outgoing messages sent but not delivered since about 12.30pm today, and incoming messages received before 12.30 which I have read, but sender has not received confirmation
There are a couple of posts on th BB forum suggesting a widespread problem

I'm also suffering from the same problem. I recently set up a pay monthly sim only deal changing over from pay as you go and haven't had full use of BBM and my Facebook/Internet Browser usage has been pretty poor too.

My post code is L20 0AS and basically have trouble all over Liverpool.

I too can use my text's and minutes but have more or less no internet coverage whether using wi-fi or just out and about.

Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome to the eForum.

When you cahnge fro Pay Monthly to PAYG certain settings need to be updated such as APN settings and on a BlackBerry the easiest way to do this is by updating your service books.

To do this 

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Highlight any of the numbers > press the BlackBerry Button then register

thanks, just to be clear I meant that I had changed from payg to pay monthly not the other way around (not too sure if it makes a difference)

I have tried updating the service books but after I receive the message stating my BlackBerry has been registered with the wireless network nothing happens... I still can't use BBM and have no use of Facebook when I'm not connected to wi-fi.

I came across someone having a similar problem asking for help on yahoo answers and the person said that there was a problem with the sim although they were changing over from Orange to Vodafone.

I'm going to go to my local branch of Vodafone and see if this might also be happening to me.

I will send the information later as I am in work today.

But just to add another problem into the mix I have received texts asking for £5 credit payment for use of BIS. I don't know how this has happened as I thought I was on Pay Monthly including BIS.
