Hi ljeffereies,
I must admit that this is a strange one as the SIM should be activated by making an outbound call.
Can I ask if anything happens if you call *#100#
Also does the SIM work in other handsets?
Are you able to activate the SIM in another phone?
If you can give try your SIM in another phone please let us know if this works as it will indicate if there is a problem with the SIM connecting to the network or if it is an issue with the BlackBerry.

It won't let me call *#100# as I have no signal.
Also the SIM doesn't work in another phone.
I'm going into Vodafone tomorrow to get a SIM card for my blackberry just for bbm. Is this possible as I saw you could use PAYG and pay £5 for blackberry services?

Please could someone explain to me how this would work.

Hi ljefferies
Thank you for yopur posts and a very warm welcome to the eForum.![]()
To use a Pay Monthly device on a Pay As You Go device you will need to ensure you have the correct APN settings for your agreement.
To use the BlackBerry services including BBM you will need to add the additional service through ''My Account'.
You can pick up your SIM from your local store or order one here.
Many Thanks
