Storm 2 9520 OS

Hello,

I know it is VF policy not to discuss new OS under testing but I wondered if you would at least answer this...

Are VF intending to release any new firmware updates for the 9520 at all?

I will accept either a yes or no without moaning but I would like to know so that I can decide on whether to change my phone or not.  If a new firmware is likely to be released then I will stay with the current handset but if no new firmware is forthcoming then I may buy a new SIM free phone and use it on my account.  The current firmware is still flawed and being the picky person that I am, it winds me up too much.

I could do without spending a large sum on a new phone so I'm hopefull of new firmware that runs quickly and smoothley.

Before giving me the "we do not discuss firmware development" please bear in mind that there hasn't been a 9520 firmware related thread for some considerable months but there are plenty of 9520 users on the VF network.

Hi BigAlzz

I'm unable to give you a definative answer to this I'm afraid, either positive or negative.:smileyindifferent:

I'm not going to quote the firmware policy, as you are fully aware of this, but for anyone who isn't you can check this out here.

If there are any updates concerning this, I be sure to let you know.

Regards

Re: Storm 2 9520 OS

I know this anwer is not the moderators fault but it is disappointing nonetheless.

It's not just the blank firmware statement, it's the whole treatment of keeping customers in the dark and not giving them anything to keep them feeling a valued customer having seemingly been abandoned.  Other providers have looked after their customers much better with firmware updates.

Still, at least if I now invest in an unlocked iPhone 4 I won't be locked  in to any contract when the current one ends.  Other providers also have similar forums so it's now much easier to see who's the best at looking after current customer rather than just trying to attract new ones.  Disappointing given that VF performs well in other areas.
