Hi
Just wondering if i could see if anyone else is having the following issues with the Storm.. its becoming unbearable and i'm thankful i can upgrade soon...
Within 6 months of me having my new storm i kept getting a small black square clock on the screen which would last for over 5 minutes and end up with me having to take the battery out numerous times a day to rectify it, then in November the screen totally stopped working so it was sent off to be fixed.
When i got it back they said it was a terminal software issue and that new software had been installed and they had also changed about 75% of the casing! Anyhow since i got my phone back with the new software it constantly turns itself off mid anything, it also turns itself off when its sat on the sofa with no one near it..When i took it in to the store about 2 weeks ago explaining this issue they said it may be that probably the software hadn't uploaded properly and reinstalled the software for me (which i soon realised was another set of new software) and the issue has got worse!
This week i took it back in explained that its gotten worse, as now the battery lasts half a day if im lucky, its also rebooting mid anything and last night it started not reloading and stopping at a black screen with the red light constantly on (i had to leave the battery out all night to rectify this) when i took it into the store a few days ago told them the issues i was having they advised i could either reinstall the software, which i feel is the issue as each set of updates makes the phone worse, send it off as it could be a battery issue (to be honest my battery seems swollen front and back compared to the one in my husbands bb) or as i was weary of sending it off again, as it takes 2 weeks and you always end up with some rubbish phone where you can't use what your paying for, i could try putting a peice of card in behind the battery incase it was a battery contact issue and considering the phone can get quite hot i really cant see this being a good idea!
My husband also has issues with his as only 25% of his screen actually is touch sensitive so he cant type, dial or access anything but hes never had any of the software issues ive had, hes still on the original storm software and has never upgraded!
I'm honestly feeling that i'm stuck with s shockingly bad phone that should NEVER have been released as they have never worked as they should!

Storm 9500 was under developed and rushed out so its not as strong as it should have been.
The random reboots happen with any phone and its usually a security mechanism when something conflicts with it. Usually a 3rd party app but can be anything.
Best learning how to reload the software yourself to save you trouble sending it back to repair centre because all they do is wha YOU can do.
Just make a back up after plugging the device into the desktop manager.
Usually best to reload it back to the 1st available software then reload the latest.
If you say 75% of the casing changed , that cant be good.
go to options>about and see what device model you have.
Its quite possible they have given you a 9520.
Good luck and hope this info helps.
