Hi Can anyone help i have downloaded the os 7.1.0 and it seems that the function on my trackpad has become semi redundent? I am unable to scroll left or right or up and down with the track pad. i am however able to click down on the trackpad to confirm an action. the touch screen works fine but is not ideal for scrolling on web pages as the curser also appears to have dissappeared? i dont know if this is just a one of error or if this is an inherent issue with this softare upgrade?
Are there any fixes other than to rollback the software upgrade?

Did you do a battery pull (or three) after the upgrade?
Failing that ... can you try to alter the scroll speed?
If you reset the horizontal & vertical speeds, it may give the software a nudge.
Otherwise a reload using Desktop Manager.
Hope this helps.

Did you try altering the scroll settings?
Are you using Desktop Manager or OTA (over the air) for the update?
(personally, I'm not a fan of OTA updating of the OS as there often seems to be some niggle afterwards)
DM used to have a 'repair' option - I don't have a copy in front of me at the moment. It's possible that one of the OS modules didn't install cleanly during the update (or one of the OS7.0 modules wasn't fully removed & is conflicting). If repair is not an option it will need a full OS reload & possibly a full OS wipe (not just a wipe to factory settings).
If an OS wipe is required, instructions for this can be found at Crackberry using either JL Commander or BBSAK. It is not for the faint-hearted.
Hope this helps.
