Hi there,
I have a Blackberry Bold which is from an old Vodafone contract. I have since re-newed my contract with Vodafone and have a new phone. Is there a way to unblock my old blackberry do that I can put a different sim car in it?
Many thanks,
Chloe

If you call Vodafone Customer Services they might look kindly upon you (since you've renewed) and give you an unlock code and talk you through it.
Unlock codes can be obtained from a number of internet companies (a search will list dozens at between £3 & £15 a time). Or, if you're prepared to wait a day or two, you can get it free (similarly, search 'free blackberry unlock').
I have used the following in the past (a few 8320 Curves):
(Links removed as part of T's&C's)
Both gave codes that worked first time. I will say though, getting the information needed to generate the codes (and entering the codes once you have them) needs a bit of confidence (rather than technical know-how). The websites will give you step-by-step instructions but, if you have a fifteen year old to hand ... give the phone to them and ask them to do it!!
