Hi everyone, i recently installed the new software upgrade for my blackberry curve 9360 and it has messed up my phone, just as i feared it probably would! phone has become unusuable and keep desplaying the message - uncaught exeception: index 5 >=5. i have tried re-booted it, by taking the battery and it works for minimal time then the message appears again. have tried connecting to my blackberry desktop software but it wont seem to connect due to this error message. any help woud be gratefully recieved. Thanks

Adam ... Sorry to hear you're having aggravation.
Did you perform the update OTA rather than using Desktop Manager? There have been a number of problems with OTA updating - it's a very small minority in the grand scheme of things but, I guess being one of them, that's not much comfort.
I always recommend plugging into a PC (either via Desktop Manager or similar) for updating the BB OS ... OTA as a last resort.
There are a number of reports of Uncaught Exception - with various error codes - on the t'internet. Unfortunately, it seems that there is no list of their causes and hard-and-fast method to fix.
It might be that, after a few reboots, the system will clear the bad code that's causing the problem - it could be something in the data or the OS or a third-party application.
Sometimes, a reboot without the SIM helps the clear-out process. Pull the battery & SIM, replace battery & allow to reboot. Pull battery & replace SIM ... etc.
I fear, though, that you will need to reinstall the OS. Using a PC this time. See BB Knowledge Base article (How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software).
Best of luck.
