I get to upgrade in a few weeks and I currentley have Curve 8520 which i get 300 mins and 3000 texts plus bb passport but i've been looking at getting the bold 9900 if released in time but the contracts only come with 500mb internet but dnt think this will be enough as I am always on the net and bbm.
Does anyone know if we are able to keep our contracted minutes, texts and internet when upgrading even if it involves a small fee for the phone?

Hi Sam1990,
It's great to see you're looking to get the upcoming Blackberry Bold 9900 as part of your next upgrade! Having played with early prototypes of this device, I've got to say it's a very sleek piece of kit.
While out-dated plans do get phased out at upgrade, sometimes they can be retained when you're upgrading manaully either in store or over the phone. My team and I will be happy to look at the option of retaining your tariff if you'd prefer to keep the line rental costs low as well as your allowances by paying some of the subsidy for the premium band handset. Simply reply to the email I'm sending you now and we'll get in touch once the device comes into stock on launch day! ![]()
Cheers, Ben

Sorry if this ends up in the wrong place, its my first time.
My contract is coming to an end in November, and on the Vodafone website it says I will be able to upgrade in September, which is not too far off.
However yesterday I had a phone call from a Vodafone customer service employee, looking to sign me up for the ipad. He commented that I could upgrade my phone as of now...
Who is right?
I don't get chance to go into store very often and wouldn't want to make an unnecessary journey.
I am ready to upgrade and want to know if I can, the website wouldn't let me, but if I go into store am I likely to get a different response?
Many thanks
Nici

Hi Nici,
First things first, welcome to the eForum!
It sounds like there's been some confusion over your upgrade date. Instore, over the phone and online you should be able to upgrade within the last 90 days of your agreement. You can also do an early upgrade via My Account within the last 190 days if you're keen to get a new phone sooner. These options are only available for consumer customers, however if you're not a business customer and you're still struggling to see options online, simply respond to the email I'm sending now. We'll be happy to check your commitment end date and look at what we can offer by way of an upgrade for you! ![]()

Then either get in touch with us , or through My Account to see what upgrade options will be available.

hi, im not sure where im meant to write this so sorry if this is wrong, today i was offered an upgrade on my phone, which i have been waiting for for a few months as i lost my blackberry and have being use a old phone, so this morning when i came to look at the upgrades i have been offered i was a bit dissapointed to see that there are only a few phones to choose from and none of them are comparable to the blackberry i had with this contract, i was hoping for a iphone or something like that, and i dont understand why vodafone are offerering to change phones and plans etc. is there anyway i could get in contact with vodafone and see if there is a way of getting a better phone without having to pay £200 for the handset or should i cancel my contract and go else where? i got my blackberry as a upgrade which was brand new out when i got it so im not sure why i have been offered such terrible phones?!

Our iPhone deals are set so I'm afraid I can't offer any alternatives other than what you can already see on our website.

Hi there,
I am also interested in upgrading to a bold 9900, i have had a sim only tariff for a while as i purchased my bold 9780 outright. I discussed some options when I requested my PAC code recently but the prices were not very competitive. I'd be interested in paying some of the subsidy in return for keeping my tariff as it is.
Can someone contact me to discuss?
Thanks in advance.

Hi bunter12345
Brilliant news that you are looking to upgrade to the Bold 9900.
The phone is only available on a contract which would stop us keeping you on a SIM only tariff. But we can look at any special offers for the phone.
I have therefore just sent you an email. If you can reply back to that with the relevant information we can then discuss these options together ![]()
Thanks
Martin

Pssst, you can get the handset SIM free from Voda stores, aslong as the manager agrees....ie they have enough stock.
I got mine last Friday, £450

Hi, i'm now elegible for an upgradeif I do it online now or in a week or so by phone, my query is that if I go through the upgrade process online not all the plans seem to be available. I'm on a basic plan 100mins and 500 texts at present but would like to up it to one with a data allowance the Blackberry curve 8520 with 200 mins (on offer at present), 500 texts and 250MB seemed like an ideal plan for my needs but it does not appear anywhere as an upgrade option.
Some of the more expensive Blackberry plans are but they exceed my needs and budget.
Do I have to do the upgrade by phone or do I have to cancel my existing contract and take out a new one as a new customer??

Hi, thought i'd just reply to this instead of making another one, hope thats ok!
My contract comes to an end next month and i've been wanting to upgrade to the blackberry 9900 for a while! I got quite a good deal on the phone I have now with vodafone, 300 minutes and unlimted texts for £20 a month, but seen as I've gone over on my minutes quite a few times and will be wanting to use the internet I was hoping to upgrade my tariff too! The only thing is I've found a contract for another network that will offer me 500mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of internet for £26 a month (which is cheaper than what i've been quoted on the upgrade page here.) So I was just wondering how i'd go about changing (seen as I can upgrade now) or do I just have to wait until next month to swap? Thanks for the help!

hi.
I am due for an upgrade and after hearing the deals I am being offered I decided to end my four years journey with vodafone. last year I got 12 month deal on samsung galaxy s, 900 mins, unlimited texts, 1G of internet all for 30 pounds a month. but now when I asked the upgrade team for the options, they offered me for samsung galaxy s2 on 12 month deal. 41 pounds a month and 375.00 for the phone price when the phone itself is available in the market for 430.00 pounds. when I asked them that why am I being previliged for that expensive deal. their answer was that they are not making any profit for me and thats all they can offer me or in other words they just wanted me to leave. I got three contracts from vodafone. I suggested vodafone to every friend and family of mine and this is what I get in the end. I am sorry to leave vodafone but dont have much options and leaving vodafone as an unhappy customer.
