Could you please tell me in reply to this message.
At the moment my existing price plan allows me to use 500 texts and no more than that which is itemised on my online bill.
Well question is this if my next price plan is for unlimited texts will it also be itemised on my online bill?

And Yes I would have thought that too until I found a thread from another member that cast doubts in my mind about that which was the reason for this question in the first place.
But Welsh I do not know about you but I can understand why it is if vodafone does not show unlimited texts on your itemised online bill.
I mean think about it just suppose for the sake of argument you send 1000,000 texts a month just think about how big your itemisation would be especially if you want to print them all out and the paper and ink you would use.

So I see I should not believe everything I read it is just I got a little confused in one of the posts I read before which was about blackberry phones and why the unlimited texts were not itemised.

Unlimited doesn't mean unlimited to phone companies.

Checking the Oxford English Dictionary with Vodafone firware installed it seems;

Unlimited internet = 1GB
Unlimited texts = 3000

Fair usage policy you see, in the small print.

Correct me if I am wrong, but please don't assume or you may get an unexpected bill.

Having said that I don't know anyone with enough time to send 3000 in a month!

I personally don't have a problem with the allowances, it's just a point of principle.

Fair usage policy doesnt apply to the 1gb data plan only if ur plan has vmi described for ur data this means fair use 500mb. Txt were fair use on unlimited of 3000 but this has now changed and the new yp2 plans means unlimited no fup 3000 anymore. Its not hard to send 3000 sms i have done 150 sms in a day and this was down to jokes i got and forwarded on which were around 5 pages in length. If i done this everyday for a month then its easily done.

But from what the eForum Team experts have told me in earlier posts is that their is or no longer will be adverts on TV or anywhere else adverting unlimited data bundles whether or not a fair usage policy applies or not on the vodafone network at least.
But the eForum Team experts have also told me in earlier posts the unlimited texts mean just that and yes a fair usage policy used to apply but not anymore

Welshrosco, fair point about the long jokes. I use phone for home and work so tend not to forward them in case I offend anyone

I do not understand what you mean by some tarrifs starting at 3,000 I mean it either states unlimited or it is not I can only be one or the other

Its just like the stats they gave for data users going near the 500mb and over the fup was like 7% i think, same with the texts i bet only used to be a small proportion which is on the rise as the unlimited has now become just that. May be the same for data one day, we can live in hope eh!

Hi all

Just thought I'd clarify, that if one of new tariffs states unlimited SMS, it's that, unlimited, not subject to a fair usage policy. I also believe that there are some business tariffs that state 3000 inclusive SMS, in other words, a set 3000 hard cap limit. Rest assured if you have a new plan from us with Unlimited SMS, that's what you have.
