Re: Vodafone sim Services

Dear kdgb1g08,

The SIM card number is found printed on the SIM card itself.

Cheers

Re: Vodafone sim Services

Are there really two bundles (2474 and 2475) with the same version and Platform?

Re: Vodafone sim Services

Hi guys,

Just to keep you all in the loop. I have forwarded on all the examples provided so far, I've not heard anything more yet though. Please keep the examples coming though, the more we have, the faster we'll be able to find out why this is happening.

Kind Regards,

George

Re: Vodafone sim Services

Cheers for the update, George.

One of my colleagues tried the 9780 update and, as shown by your tech guys, this annoyance/issue doesn't happen with that.

rob,

If you mean does this issue occur because you are using a SIM card that was previously in an iPhone, I don't think so. In my case, my SIM card has only ever been used in a Nokia before I started using it in a BlackBerry, and is a couple of years old. It's never been in an iPhone ever.

You have given me an idea though. If I get the time, I'll see if I can SIM swap it to a new SIM card and see if that changes anything. However, I think this is related to the software itself, so don't expect that a SIM swap will change anything.

If I get a chance to do the SIM swap, I'll post up my result.

Cheers

Re: Vodafone sim Services

take a look on crackberry at the .570 findings/fixes thread. The issue with the SIM toolkit menu is happening to a bunch of people, not just voda users.

FWIW I didn't get this issue with .546 but I do with .570. Weird.

Re: Vodafone sim Services

This is probably obvious to most, but I tried a different SIM (non-Vodafone) in the phone last night.  No sign of the problem, and no sign of the Vodafone icon on the home screen either - why is that?

Re: Vodafone sim Services

Hi guys,

Thank you all for posting. I can confirm that we've spoken to RIM about this and they're aware of the issue. They're working on a fix in a future software update and we'll let you know when we find out about timings.

Kind Regards,

George

Re: Vodafone sim Services

Just installed device firmware version .576 (voda .546 and .570 did it) and the SIM message has not come up.
