As I reported this on day 4 and asked to return it, can I return the phone now as I have not received a working replacement?

I am not 100% sure what the status of the issue here. What I am presuming is that you have already got the phone but it is faulty and that you are waiting for a replacement?
If this is the case I would need to recommend getting in touch with the returns team of the channel you got this from to see where the replacement is. If you are still within your first 7 days of receiving the handset you are still able to return the handset and then look at some other options, again the returns team do need to be contacted to get this arranged.

I received my torch on 30th Sep. The camera has problems and I ordered a replacement on 1st Oct from the Online Team.
I was told that it would arrive on the 4th Oct. But when it didn't turn up, I called in and was told it will take 7-10 days instead. It's been 17 days!!!
No word, no sound!
I got an email 4 days ago to say it will be dispatched on Thursday and i'll receive an email once it's dispatched, but no word!!!
Please advise!

Same here. Mine had a dodgy touchscreen. Took 3 days of calls to finally get a replacement sorted and no word since. The online team have never replied to emails I've sent either.

In your position I'd be annoyed as well, as a paying customer you deserve correct information and your replacement to be sent in the promised time.
Were this an order the phone order we would be able to do more for you however as its an online order we are very limited in the help we can give as we don't have the systems.
I recommend you call the V-Store yourself on 08080 408 408 to chase this up.
Apologies there is nothing more direct we can do for you.

Got Mexico 4 again with SAME camera problem. I think i've given up and am just going to stick with it. If anything, i'll just never use the sports mode.. which is sad considering its one of the best functions of the camera.
The wiggle is also less on this model. However i keep getting a "net_rim_bb" error when i boot up the phone and BBM, facebook and twitter were missing!!
i just reinstalled them back.. not much trouble there.
quality control at RIM is terrible. my last bb phone for sure. gonna move on to android after.

Rang Monday said it would be sent out from the Warehouse - didnt arrive!
Rang today say its being sent out (probably more lies!)

Rang Monday said it would be sent out from the Warehouse - didnt arrive!

The phone arrived Friday (picked up saturday morning) - Won't boot up! Just white line across bottom then hangs. Tried battery pulls, connected to computer - 'Fatal Error message..'.
Ring online team Monday morning - Sending another phone, should arrive Tuesday (as expected does not arrive - although I rang to check and was assured it was out for delivery). Ring this morning - 'there has been a mix up, it has not been sent out.'
What a joke...
Worst customer service/logistics I have ever experienced.
