blackberry torch

I have recently changed from the most simple of Nokias to a blackberry torch and have had several problems!  The latest is that when I click on messages (when I have a new message) it comes up with a list of e.mails, then text messages and then calendar.  Under the calendar appear to be the birthdays of people on facebook which I really don't want to know or to come up.  I have tried but cannot see any way to get rid of this calendar with it's birthdays!  either on the phone or on facebook.  Please can anyone out there help me?

Re: blackberry torch

I think you can set whether Facebook integrates with the calendar, contacts & messages functions in the app itself.

Launch the facebook app, hit the BlackBerry key and choose options. If you untick the ones you dont want, such as calendar entries, this should stop. Not sure if it will remove any existing entries though, you might have to delete those afterwards.

Also you can set what items show in the messages view. Open messages, hit BlackBerry key then options from the menu. Select inbox management, and untick text messages if you don't want those to show. That should get rid of them from the list.

If calls are also showing up in messages and you don't want this to happen, go into call list/dialler (green send key) again BlackBerry key > select options from the menu - Choose call logs & lists then set "show these call log types in messages list" to None.

Hope this helps :smileyhappy: enjoy your new BB!
