Hi, I have had my blackberry torch since September 2011, it has been hassle ever since, the battery drains within 2 hours of charging, the battery has already been replaced without being sent for inspection first. The battery started draining quickly again but I think it may be the handset. I would rather switch the samsung galaxy but am not happy at the fact I would have to pay out of my contract. Do I have any rights as a customer to get switched free of charge as the phone is faulty? Thanks.

I would recommend that you send you handset in for repair. As it is less that a year old, it would be covered under warranty. More information about repairs is available in this link. Your rights would be for a repair of the handset or if it is beyond repair, you would be entitled to a replacement handset of the same make and model.

I'd like to echo drey_p here and welcome you to the forum, and also say that the advice they've given you is spot on (cheers drey_p )

If your handset is faulty then we'll do out utmost to repair it or replace it if it can't be repaired and the fault is covered by the warranty - we wouldn't exchange it for the Samsung Galaxy though as it's not like for like.

I recently went to the Galaxy S3 - for 2 days, now back on Blaclberry!

The email etc is much better on BB IMHO.
