I'm just pestering for phones at the moment. I've got you down for one of the current handsets though Nabs, although I was waiting for you to be back from holiday. Optimus 7 on its way shortly :smileyhappy:

Re: What device would you like to see on the why?

Hi All,

I would like to see the following devices made available if possible?

iPhone 4

HTC Sensation

Xperia Play

Blackberry Bold 9900 and Torch

Nexus S

Galaxy S 2

HTC Wildfire

iPad 2

Galaxy Tab 10.1

HTC Cha Cha

Galaxy Ace

Galaxy mini

It would be great to get some pre release phones in the programme. This would be great for helping people with setting the phones up, making sure wap and mms is functional and would give the Vodafone team a heads up on any possible problems!

Back at the end of next week, will be ready when you are :smileyhappy:

I've got an internet connection so i couldn't resist coming on here, besides it's raining outside! lol

TSD has a good point about pre-release handsets, having some users on here with experience would be a huge help to yourselves

Re: What device would you like to see on the why?

i agree with the comment on pre release devices, of course it would have to be post device announcement due to all the nda's and stuff that exists before that, but giving 'real world' users devices to test always covers a broader range of testing as engineers can only cover so much (plus the fact they have a list to check which could miss a use-case). personally id like to see the very latest phones being in the scheme, to me the iphone4 being there (simply an example) wouldnt be benificial as its past half way in its life cycle if that makes sense.

Re: What device would you like to see on the why?

TSD Hit the nail on the head with his suggestions, EXCEPT

I do NOT want to demo the HTC Cha Cha. The concept of that phone makes me feel ill. Facebook button? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

On a happier note, the HTC Sensation looks absolutely stunning, and I'd like to add the HTC Flyer to that list, but it's doubtful if Vodafone will be adding it to the arsenal of smartness we're currently oggling :smileyhappy:

Actually, my daughter thinks this Facebook button is a great idea!

Android 2.3, 5MP Camera, Blackberry style keypad! I can see this appealing to a lot of people! Personally, I think that this Frankenstein of a phone would be rather interesting to take a closer look at!

Re: What device would you like to see on the why?

I'd tend to agree with TSD on the ChaCha. Whilst it definitely doesn't appeal to me (at all), you can never underestimate the power of Facebook, plus the QWERTY keyboard on the front. Both are extremely popular with younger mobile users, so I'd expect us to sell quite a lot of them.

I think it could be a similar situation to those weird Sidekick things a certain network I shan't mention sells in the US. Could never understand the form factor myself, but they sell stacks of them because it's the "cool" thing to have.

@Tom

The Americans' do love their slide out keyboards! Not the most attractive phone in the world, but it does seem to be a "Social Network" Masterpiece!

For me this is what the Device Loan Programme is all about! The chance to use, and investigate phones that normally you might ignore! As well as the ones you would love to have!

To me, all Tech, is good Tech! It just might not be the right Tech for me! :smileywink:

As a now official Android user, I would love to get my hands on some Windows Phone 7 stuff to test officially if and when I meet the criteria!

Re: What device would you like to see on the programme and why?

Hi Tom,

Can I add to the list of requested phones the HTC EVO 3D  as seen HERE

As you know, Photography is a hobby of mine, and this 3D capability is so intriguing.

I recently bought Roxio Creator 2011 pro software, which allows me to convert normal images to 3D.

My information indicates that the EVO 3D may be shipped with the new "Ice Cream" Firmware, so this would be a great device to get hold of before general release!

Would love to see this phone on offer, good dhout TSD!.

I sell 3DTV's at work and we get all our 3D demo content from Sky, It would be great to compare the quality of a 3D video taken on a phone with professionally shot 3D footage from Sky.
