Well it Looks like it will be a HTC show
Samsung are launching a couple of midrange devices
But it will be interesting to see who and what has ICS (Ice. Cream Sandwich )
There are a couple interesting stuff from the USA eg Android Fridge
And in car stereos
Lets hope there will be alot of new Phones launched as the market seems top be dominated by the two new devices
Motorola Razer and the Galaxy Nexus s
Samsung are following the HTC way and haveing three phones a entry level a mid range and a High spec
But this will anger alot as the S2 will be now the S2+
I personally think samsung has lost its way
LG are standing in the wings but they need to wake up as there new devices are on outdated firmware
Sony will launch there new Phone range
Xperia Ion worldwide, Xperia S available now
HTC Hopfully will come up with a phone that has some memory on it
The next Buzz word is Water proofing there is a English company that has come up with a machine that water proofs your phone
See
Some forums are holding compations on who has the worst Launch show
Now Apple are never there but as in America they have there spys out
So there is a Spot the Apple Spy even tho they were invited
Blackberry are going to launch there new phone and the update on the playbook ( It gets Email at last )
Microsoft will launch windows 8 or not
But the thing that intrest me are the indepent companise coming out and trying to brack into the Market place
Cnet Usa will be there the Uk side are sending two people over tut tut
One strong rumour to come out is Networks in the UK might now look for devices that they only do
Following the USA style
Strange how the Manufactures are pushing the other way
So i wonder how many of the new phones we will see on Vodafone lets hope its phones we all want

News just out from the MWC
we're already seeing first news from carriers who will be stocking Sony's latest.
Three UK have confirmed that they will be stocking the Sony Xperia U on both pay as you go and contract terms.
No pricing or dates available at this point, but good news nonetheless that carriers are already picking up the new devices....
No mention on Vodafone tho ummmm
Meanwhile, not to be outdone. Rival UK carrier Orange have made their own announcement that they intend to carry the Xperia U. Orange will exclusively be offering the white version from Q2 2012.
On the LG side

LG takes the wraps of its 2012 Optimus range, including its Optimus 4X HD quad core flagship
on Gingerbread
Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Beam, two years after it first appeared at Mobile World Congress
Carn't see why we sould want this Big battery drainer me thinks

Good point about water proofing. I hear that is going to be the next big thing with manufacturers, all claiming to have fully water proof devices! We shall see?
I will defo keep an eye out for Apple spy's... lol The use of an iPhone will be a give away! ![]()
The Blackberry Playbook was indeed a disapointment. I tried one and didn't find it very intuitive, navigation was very confusing!
I don't think following the likes of Verizon and AT&T is a good way to go. I would much rather Carriers just left the phones alone.
With the recent announcement that Ubuntu Linux has been developed to Run along side Android, providing a Mobile docking version of a full desktop enviroment. It will be interesting to see how App developers will embrace the desktop integration?

There has been talk of new Sony Phones for quite a while now. I hope the build quality issues of times gone by have been ironed out?
The Xperia U (Kumquat) does look like a nice phone. Perhaps a little too square on the corners? It might be a bit uncomfortable in the pocket?
Strange that it will be shipped with Gingerbread 2.3.x but with ICS (icecream sandwich) to roll out later.
One cool feature of the Phone is the Lightup band around the bottom of the phone. Apparently it changes colour according to what is displayed on the screen.
I can see that being a really awesome Notification light...!

The phone pics are coming thick and fast
If there two big Sorry i just want every one to see the best bits of the phones
Any How Here is Another LG the L7

a stylish looking phone that dispenses with the burly processor in order to be easier on your wallet. So the question is: would you rather have a more powerful phone or more money in your pocket?

Great Photo's N-dj and not too big at all... superb! ![]()
The Samsung phone is supposed to be the Galaxy B if I'm not mistaken? But that could be their way of disputing the rumours?
Anyway I love the look of that phone and hope the S3 will be something like that! It's hard to imagine just what it will be like... Sooo excited for the future! ![]()
The LG-L7 looks like the sort of Mid range phone that is very popular at the moment. It allows people to enjoy Android without breaking the Bank! I think it's important to embrace all price ranges.
It's quite SGSII looking so should be very popular with people looking for a cheaper version.
If any members want to Share Twitter feeds or Facebook pages with MWC info on them, feel free to do so. Also any of you Google+ people (Googlers) want to share G+ pages, then that would be awesome!

Nice Video of the HTC One X there N-dj... ![]()
I like the look of Sense 4.0 but it does look very iPod with the floating Gallery view. I'm sure Apple will be seeing them in Court soon!
I still think that with how amazing AOSP Ice Cream Sandwhich is, why would you slap something over the top?
Thanks to that Quad Core processor and 1Gb of Ram it did look incredibly smooth!
With the developement of integrated Ubuntu Linux and Android to produce a truly mobile Desktop experience on the Phone. These Quad Core phones are definitely the future. Do they spell the demise of the Home PC as we know it?
Should Apple and Microsoft be afraid? I think they should...!
The Phone is the PC... all you need is a monitor and bluetooth keyboard & mouse!

I carn't see why they broght a phone out with a projecter on it and it did not have ICS on it so the phone is low spec then very strange
and whats the big improvement for Htc oh memery but even the basic phone gets ICS just shows that a 1g memory phone can run ICS more pics later as they come in

No one has come out and innovated what so ever, before you go saying Samsung have the projector device that was so 3 years ago its not real innovation.
I think we could have predicted the quad core/dual core devices with bigger screens on android ICS, there are no real surprises yet especially for WP7.. Very disappointing

Wouldn't be so dismissive of Symbian,
The Belle update is a quantum step from Anna and what went before
I'd been dissapointed that upto this point nobody has a camera to match the N8-00 and now Nokia take another leap ahead in camera technology,
Going to have to keep a close eye on this one

Don't panice these devices are the pre launch stuff
And i agree a projectoron a phones is so last year carn't see that taking off
I was hoping and stiil are seeing More take on the ICS
Independents are now coming forward such as
Huawei
Ascend D quad

List has the looks of a good device
Huawei's latest flagship device, the Ascend D quad, is supposedly "the world's fastest smartphone." The D quad is definitely a sight to behold, particularly the 4.5-inch 720p display — the screen's very bright, and the viewing angles are excellent. It's not the thinnest phone we've seen, but its 8.8mm body definitely cuts a slim figure, and actually feels smaller in the hand than most 4.5-inch phones.
Now there are no plans for this in the UK as no company wants to import them
Unless we see this with Network branding on the device and Marketed as there own device
But at the moment the OOOO and Wow facter is missing
Even the new HTC are well Borring in Design normaly they doo put the boat out
So lets hope there are good things to come

HTC have been quite brave dropping SD from the X and the S. I agree that SD is not strictly necessary but it might be seen as a negative selling point. The 25GB of Dropbox is unlikely to pacify the detractors, especially where the costs of data are high.
However, I note that Asus have also seem to have dropped SD from their new Transformer tablets.
Speaking of tablets, I struggle to "get" the Padfone. If I am going to carry a screen and a phone, I may as well carry a full tablet and a phone! Being a proprietary system, it probably means upgrading both classes of device at the same time. I don't think it will catch on
The Canonical system, on the otherhand, does look to have interesting potential. If they can get suppliers to incorporate the kernel then it seems to have a fairly standard connection system. The question I have, is do most people actually need Ubuntu? Could we not have a standardised dock , which allows Android to work on a full monitor, keyboard system?

I noticed this!!!! but thought it was in side
This could hert sales
but HTC and memory have allways been a problem now its storage
why are they coping Apples way when people were buying devices for external storage
as you said its poinles having external storage if your data is throttled and you have restritions
My Best frend has the new Galsxy nexus and he has nearly filled the storage up
i see this purley as a selling con bring out phones with higher storage were ae a external sd cost for a 8GB £5 on ebay
Strange how this is going the other way with tablets but this time its USB sockets or ways of using USB drives
Now if the though as soupdragon said a Phone replaces you computer storage is a must and not cloud bassed as there not reliable eg Mega upload all peoples files were lost
Why don't Phone manufacture give us what we want instead of coping other then perhaps they will not end up in court
remember HD video will eat up storage in no time
If samsung bring there new flagship out with no external storage it will Flop were not all iphone users
but if they brought a phone out with that on watch the compation all fall if they have not got external storage

Tablet offerings are poor at best at the moment which says to me that these spats with Apple and Samsung have people scared in the tablet war. But when it comes to phones no one is innovating at all - If/when Apple announce their next phone i doubt there will be anything to shout home about there just that they will market 1000 times better than anyone else has yet.
The camera on the Nokia 808 is impressive to say the least and you can not take that away from Nokia but where are the announcements from Microsoft? the innovation with WP7? RIM's new OS with mind blowing features?
Something that i would classify as a worthy announcement now would be Microsoft coming out saying - we have taken the top 20 arcade titles from Xbox - got them going on WP7 - you can now take your save and continue the game on your phone BAM! this would get people talking and interested in the platform. There was talk about this when WP7 was first announced but that seems to have gotten lost.
I think we are limited with the hardware unless the manufacturers come out and say - We have now partnered with every bank in the EU - you can now make payments by using NFC on your phone and its easy.
If something like that happens by the end of MWC i will be impressed but at the moment its just been full of devices that look very similar, no amazing software/hardware innovation, bigger screens, larger processor, same old Networks stuck on 3g (if you are lucky).

Having some onboard storage for apps and "stock" data would be great. I'd also want to be able to carry extra swappable stuff on SD. The cloud is all well and good but 500MB or even 1GB per month does not get you far.
I'd also like to see support for encrypted SD Cards. Not just files, I wan t the whole filesystem encrypted.

More coming in on the HTC Calanger
The HTC One X features 32GB of internal storage, while the HTC One S has 16GB. Neither of those have microSD card slots, though the One V has microSD, up to 32GB. There's no internal storage in that handset. The top two handsets have 1GB of RAM while the One V has 512MB.
Now the USA version of the HTC One x the XL will have a NFC chip the UK version will not
Jebelious
If something like that happens by the end of MWC i will be impressed but at the moment its just been full of devices that look very similar, no amazing software/hardware innovation, bigger screens, larger processor, same old Networks stuck on 3g (if you are lucky).
I agree one of the main things catching peoples eys is the Gamer tablet

Now this follows on from what jebelious has said
Microsoft Not known for its tablets may be changing the above could change gaming as we know it
But this was launched at CES but they have anouced that there now Microsoft partners but this is a independant company that have got PC games and graphics on a Tablet with proper controls
Could we now see games in miniture on a phone in a word NO were only just touching the prosesors with dual core but given time
The Razer above will not be going under the Razer banner But Could you be looking at a Possible Xbox contender
any how back to HTC i think 32gb should be fine for most users but people have had to push them for these specs but the one X does look a good phone but i would of thought more memory to help the phone out with multi tasking
The Rumored S3 is expected to Have 1.5GB and 500mb is just used for the operating system giving the rest to programs and possible dual booting
i agree with Jebelious there is nothing that has realy boweled me over
Cnet have gone mad as they allways do manly as this is the first time they have seen these phones and it take 12 months to gete there
But at the moment its dual core or multi core phones and some in the middle
the main being HTC
Sony was well covered at CES but even there high end phone now looks out dated
this show Needs somthing like the Galaxy S3 to light up the show
Carn't see Vodafone doing much of these
