I have just been to the IOW festival 2012, there I made great use of your mobile charger. Everywhere there were signs saying Vodafone VIP cashless key fobs, I tried registering at the vodafone tent but they said they were not allowed to give them out as our entrance wrist bands were already on but if we were going to any other festivals this year go to the website and register. I have looked on VIP and can find nothing. I am off to Reading later this year and was wondering if the same thing would be available and how I would be able to receive the fob?

Thanks for posting. I've had a check myself and emailed one of the teams in charge of sponsorship at the festivals we work with via Vodafone VIP for advice. As soon as I get a response, I'll pop the answer on here with plenty of time ready for your next festival stint. I'm made up you got to take advantage of the mobile chargers too in the meantime.

Wow, they got back to me rather quickly so excuse the double post!

The Cashless Fobs were being trialled at IOW exclusively this year, so they won't be seen the rest of this festival season. My apologies for any confusion on our part but it seems this was a one off that's now being reviewed for the future. You'll still get access to many perks such as the charging facilities, viewing platforms and advance pre-sale tickets.
